As the temperatures drop, having a warm coat and winter gear can make a big difference for a child. This September, Summit Choice Credit Union is partnering with the Fort Wayne Community Schools Clothing Bank to help make sure local students have the winter essentials they need.

Throughout the month of September, we're collecting new or gently used, smoke-free winter clothing, including:

• Coats
• Hats
• Gloves
• Scarves

Donations will be provided to FWCS students who are experiencing poverty or have been impacted by a personal tragedy, such as a house fire or flood. While children's sizes are especially needed, donations in all sizes are welcome.

A Small Donation Can Make a Big Difference

For some families, purchasing winter clothing can be an added financial burden. Your donation can help a local student head to school feeling warm, comfortable, and ready to learn — no matter what the winter weather brings.

Whether you have a gently used coat your family has outgrown or would like to purchase a new winter item to donate, every contribution helps.

Bring your donation to any Summit Choice Credit Union branch between September 1–30, 2026.
